Going from San Pedro de Alcantara, in the direction of the beach, we will find ourselves in the area known as Linda Vista, considered as an important archaeological site.

We will find the remains of the Paleochristian Basilica of Vega del Mar, which is one of the most important Paleochristian era ( IV AD) examples in Spain. The Basilica was surrounded by a visigoth mecropolis. It was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century as eucaliptus were being planted on the beach. Among the dicoveries were several objects which are exhibited in the National Archeological Museum.

During our visit we are able to see a rectangular plant consisting of three larger rooms and two smaller ones. In the Baptism Room we can observe a 1.10 metre deep font, where children and adults were submerged and baptised.
