Again the climate is the determining factor for the practice of sport,
for professionals as well as enthusiasts and as a free time filler for
visitors. The excellent temperatures allow the practice of all 
kinds
of open air sports and training in the many public and private sports installations
which exist on the coast and in most of the municipalities inland, where
the county council, alone or collaborating with other public administrations
has developed an ample fund plan of modern sports installations.
Malaga and its Costa del Sol offer unbeatable climate and installation conditions and sporting possibilities for practising tennis, athletics, horse-riding, bowls, petanque, cricket, river fishing, hunting, mountaineering, rock climbing, trekking, potholing, archery, pigeon shooting and clay-pigeon shooting, cycling, hand-gliding, motocross and trial, etc., as well as a whole range of indoor sports.
All along the coast and the interior of the province, clubs dedicated
to promoting sports in modern complexes have proliferated, counting on
the fact that most of the hotels and other accommodations have installations
for practising the most common sports. Thus, the sports centres of Arroyo
de la 
Miel,
Benalmádena, Estepona, Fuengirola, Marbella, Mijas, Torrox, Nerja,
Antequera, Ronda, Coín, Málaga capital, etc. offer multiple
possibilities in this field. One mustn’t forget the air sports through
the Aeroclub de Málaga, and very prestigious institution which recently
transferred its installations to the aerodrome which has been built in
the municipality of Vélez-Málaga; the unmotored airfield
and ultralights with a municipal promotion in Antequera, plus another which
exists in the municipality of Villanueva del Trabuco.
