DOLMEN COMPLEX

The city of Antequera has the most important megalithic complex in Europe, the Menga dolmen being the oldest. The complex is completed with the Viera and El Romeral dolmens. The latter presents a primitive false dome. Impressive blocks of stone were moved from the quarry of Veracruz to give shape to these initial architectural manifestations by man.
