THE GUADALHORCE RESERVOIRS

Itinerary nº 2. Access from Campillos

This is the most advisable route for visitors from Antequera and Ronda, as well as those coming from the provinces of Cadiz, Seville and Granada. The last two as well as those coming from Antequera have the fastest access via road N-342 (Jerez-Cartagena) from the motorway A-92, which is 28 kilometres away from Campillos. Visitors from the province of Cadiz also have the fastest access via the N-342 (Olvera-Almargen). For those coming from the Ronda area, it is unnecessary going to Campillas as from the road which joins Cuevas del Becerro with Campillas, emerges the Confederación Hidrográfica road which gives direct access to the reserves. The crossing on this last road is situated at 10 kilometres before arriving at Campillas and 7 kilometres after passing the Teba crossing.

Once in Campillas, the visitors of the above mentioned areas, except those coming from Ronda should exit at the C-341 (Campillos to Ronda) to turn off after 10 kilometres on the Confederación Hidrográfica road, which will take you to the geographical centre of the reservoirs, at the dams of Guadalteba and Guadalhorce.
